Disha Sports Academy, provides a platform and develop talents in football and boxing in the poorest but highly talents parts of chennai. We have produced national champions and players in boxing and football. Support a future champion
Chinraj :
Disha Sports Academy identified Chinraj at the Disha Footbal tournament held in March 2009. Mr Sekar, a National Player, Mr Chandrasekar, and Mr Thomas have been coaching him for a year now and Chinraj is currently studying 11th Standard at Wasley school chennai.
Chinraj lives under a open sky embracing stars and dreaming about footbal. It is the stars above an the ground beneath that protects him. This is where he is born, lives and plays football. His father has abandoned them, his mother Jyothi, an illiterate woman has never understood Chinraj's love for the football and. "Being the sole bread winner for the family, I wanted him to work and earn some money to support us. But I could never separate him from his football," says Jyothi, as she is happy today, that she had let him pursue his dream.
Chinnarasu is a very good player and he is with full of life. his presence can change the mood of the team quickly. He is a team player and constantly motivates this team mates to perform well. He is an asset to them to the team", observes his coach.
His mother does not understand much about the sport, but she is sure that her son is in the right hands and is being guided in the right direction and one day he will do her the nation proud.
C. Naga Sudha
Naga Sudha was introduced by her Sister Punitha who is a Disha Scholar. Punitha and her mother were worried about Nagasudha’s future. She joined Disha Sports Academy in the year 2009. She was working in the packing department in a Small Scale Industry then.
After she joined our Academy she was motivated to join in a College. She did not have a Community Certificate and one of our Academy volunteer Mr. Siva helped her get it.
She got admission in BSC physical Education in Queen Mary’s College, and started doing well both in studies and Sports.
She won the third position in discuss throw in the two consecutive years 2010 & 11. After six years break, Queen Mary’s College got a bronze medal in Al Mudaliyar Inter College Meet because of her.
She completed her B.Sc Physical Education Degree in First class and further she wanted to pursue her career in Sports and decided to join in Bachelor of physical Education- B.ped in Tamil Nadu Sports University.
Later her father started a small Catering Centre and Disha Sports Academy supported their family by ordering food from her father’s Catering Centre. Her brother is supporting his father in his business. Her mother is working as a Packing Staff in Adyar Ananda Bhavan. Her sister Punitha is doing her Xi std.
K. Sachidhanandam:
Sachidanandam was selected in 2009 Disha Tournament. He was a defender while joining, then molded as the best Goal Keeper by the Coaches. His Father Mr. Kannan supports his son’s sports career. He drops his son at the ground for his daily practice routine.
He was selected in Chennai district team for Under 17 Junior in the year 2009 and Represented under 19 Tamil Nadu State Team in the year 2011.
He got admission through sports quota in B.A(Economics) in Loyola College. At present he is registered in second Division team.
His father is a X ray Technician in GH & mother is a house wife. His elder brother is a Sales Representative and his sister is studying BCA.
